I read an article on the internet, as I am wont to do. This one was about how modern games are lacking a certain innovation that was around in the classic era of gaming, and speculates it may be that older hardware restricted older games to have to focus tightly just on the really good stuff, whereas modern games can sprawl and waste resources and lose focus. Maybe that’s the case, I dunno. But I suspect something else is at work here.
