Kids Are Little Shits
I’ve despised “for the children” laws for as long as I can remember, which is at least back to Dec 3rd 2016 according to Google. What adult could stand to live in a world where every aspect of life is neutered into plastic smiles, where every corner of the human experience is padded with numbing foam? One of the surest ways to identify a law that must be burned to cinders immediately is if it’s marketed as “for the children.”

Easy - children are an "innocent/good" population, and so just argue exposure to the thing must be inherently harmful to them!
This didn’t used to be the case (as much). A lot of society believed that actually, kids are little shits. The use of children as angelic scapegoats—because they are pure, virginal beings that must be protected from the contamination that occurs if they even become aware of corrupting sins—would lose much of its spiritual power if it was widely acknowledged that kids are little shits. The entire world doesn’t need to be made into a purity cloister because kids are as human as anyone else made out of meat.
Normalize treating kids like they’re often little shits! It will make society better for every adult living in it, it’ll take a weapon away from moral scolds, and it’s better for the kids too.
Ramifications For Demographic Collapse
I was raised as a good liberal in the 90s. This meant learning that, as a man, I defile anything I touch. I’ve become increasingly kid-pilled this year. Today I realized at least one reason for this.
Just as I believed I pollute everything by my presence without realizing I believed it, I believed children are an innocent/pure population without realizing I believed it. Bringing children into the world to be inevitably corrupted by living with a monster is abhorrent. No fucking way as I going to have children, I’m not evil.
I’ve slowly come to realize this isn’t true. I’m still a work in progress, aliefs are hard to root out. But I have shed enough of this to start seriously contemplating raising small humans, so they can become big and strong and happy and loving.
Even so, a regular human would rightly balk at being entrusted with an angel, knowing failure is eventually bound to happen. Inevitable sacrilege is a motivator that will reduce total number of children at the margin. Especially among the scrupulous. Which is many of us.
But raising a human? A bumbling intelligence in a squishy farting body that needs to be helped and given nutrients and yes, sometimes berated a bit because it’s being a little shit again… well, that’s not a recipe for moral crimes against the heavens. That’s just being alive in an imperfect world. Hell, it’s admirable, even, to help out a dumb little stinker that’s trying to take all the candy from his cousin (by teaching him that’s a shitty thing to do).
Normalize treating kids like they’re often little shits! It will make society better for everyone, it’s better for parents’ mental health, and it will increase total fertility among liberals by some non-zero amount.
